So of course due to this she has depression and a severe drinking problem. The drinking started when some of the other Vocaloids took Haku out for the first time and once she realized that heavy drinking could make her forget her troubles, even for a short time, she couldn’t help but keep drinking even when she was alone. But she’s learned to control her drinking after worrying a few of her “friends”, Haku isn’t really sure she has any, and only drinks when things get really bad.Despite the constant ridicule from people online Haku still tries her best and uploads singing videos when she can. She can get a little frustrated when her videos don’t get near the amount of views the other vocaloids get, or even her fellow fanloids. And no matter what she does her videos get nothing but negative feedback and ratings. But Haku loves singing and doesn’t want to give up, but due to her depression gives up quite a bit. It’s hard to keep her motivation up when anything you do gets torn down and gets compared to Miku. That’s one of the things she hates the most about the online comments. She doesn’t want to be seen as just a failure version of Miku, she wants to be her own person. Unfortunately being called a failure your entire existence eventually makes you believe it. So Haku struggles with wanting to be her own Vocaloid but also knowing that it’s pointless because of how worthless she is.While she can be pretty negative when it comes to herself Haku is a very sweet person. She’s the kind who is always happy to help others to the extent where she puts others needs ahead of her own. She is very sensitive to criticism and is known to cry very easily. And even stole a few cigarettes from Dell but she couldn’t stand the taste or smell so this didn’t last long.The only unhealthy habits she’s stuck with are binge drinking and cutting. While everyone is aware of her drinking no one knows about the cutting since she wears long sleeves all the time and has made it part of her brand.

There would be hours and hours of her parents yelling and screaming about money or wanting to get a divorce or threatening to sleep with other people. From the day she was born Haku was told she was nothing but a no good failure, that she served no purpose in this world but to be a waste of space. When her parents weren’t fighting each other they were fighting with her, physically. It was pretty much only her dad who hit her, usually when he was drunk, which was always. Her mom was a personal fan of mental abuse. So in order to get in less fights with her parents Haku learned to just stop talking. That anything she said would bring her more pain. So for a few years until she entered elementary school she was mute. But once she got into school and was in a more social environment she started to talk again. But the beatings from her dad never stopped. Throughout all of her schooling she had to wear sweaters and long sleeve with pants no matter the season. In elementary when she didn’t get the lead in her classes musical she was ridiculed and beaten for hours. She’s never had the courage to tell another adult or even a classmate about her home life fearing what her father would do to her.It wasn’t until middle school, when she joined the chorus, that she discovered her love for singing and music. It became her favorite class and the thing that got her up in the morning. It was the first time in her life where she felt truly happy. Until one day kids in her class started to make fun of her deeper voice. They would tell her that she wasn’t really a girl and that she sounded like a man. And then her favorite class turned into a nightmare. When she had to sing a short solo her classmates would boo her and make fun of her, the teacher would try to get them to stop but she was no match against ruthless 13 year olds. She tried talking to her parents about it but they told to suck it up and that the kids were right anyway. She ended up having to switch the class and decided to never sing again. So Haku was left with no outlet for her depression. Haku is struggling with her own inner demons and anxiety. Telling her same things she was told in middle school, that her voice was too deep. And they were happening on every video she uploaded. And decided that in college that she wanted to pursue a career in the psychology field.Getting to college would not be easy. Her family had no money and never really cared about her or her education. So Haku went to work. She had 3 part time jobs at one point at the age of 16. But her parents would always have her pay for bills and groceries. So she was always left with no money. So she turned to scholarships, a source of money her parents couldn’t touch. So she worked her ass off in school taking college level courses and passes all the exams to finally get a free ride to college.

She doesn’t actually hate Miku, she just super dislikes her. But what reason does she have for hating Miku?
